Alphina, a Brooklyn cannabis confectionary specializing in gluten-free, diabetic-friendly and vegan products, collaborated with Limone to develop a fun, homey baking brand before its launch in NYC.

making cannabis something for everyone

For the custom wordmark, I drew inspiration from vibrant 70s typography and brush script fonts to evoke a fun, homey baking atmosphere. The primary logo pays homage to their previous design while emphasizing trust and scalability. Additionally, we chose illustrated icons to highlight the high-quality ingredients in Alphina’s confections, appealing to Alphina’s health-conscious consumers.

key insights & results

Alphina is set to launch soon! They also requested a redesign of their investment deck.

A challenge in this project was navigating the strict cannabis branding regulations, which prohibit elements like bubble fonts, bright colors and explicit cannabis symbols. This required creative problem-solving, such as focusing on the baking aspect of the brand and making it less obvious that it's a cannabis brand.
